Lubna was rescued after being attacked by another cat, leaving her with multiple puncture wounds and a severely broken front leg. Her recovery took several months. While the wounds healed, the leg set slightly out of place, leaving her with a mild limp. The experience also left Lubna deeply anxious and fearful of humans.
